First of all, your niece is quite adorable, second only to my nieces:) Secondly, why do we never post on your blog? You would never censor us (assumedly)b/c you believe in free speech, sex, drugs, and rock and roll. I think we should maybe not stop posting on Kristi's b/c it is quite fun to rile her up, but post on yours as well. Who's with me? Sara...Erin...Hmm, maybe everyone already posts on this blog and I'm just behind...crap, I hate being left out. Damnitt, Nate, why didn't you invite me here sooner.
Also, just b/c I'm feeling the freedom of not being on Kristi's site, where half the comments get deleted, I would just like to add...Shit, Damnitt,sex with strange men, homosexuality, Liberals, and Columbian children. Wow, that was liberating...you have the best blog site ever!!!

I have to admit; I don't get the bathtub comments either. Perhaps I shall post a pic of it sometime.
Wait. Just figured it out. The bathtub thing is probably in reference to the one time you folks visited me, back in august of 2002. My mom has one of those old-timey bathtubs with the old looking faucet stuff. I think that's been popular for a few years now. It also may be used as a shower, which is how I use it.
The thing about fr. Eck I posted takes a lot of time to explain, so I'll give the abbreviated version. A jewish concentration camp survivor visited all the local schools, talked about how Clinton was great because he didn't allow the same thing that happened in germany to happen in bosnia and talked about how the catholic church was wrong to ignore and disregard the plight of the Jews during WWII. (quick background: The church has admitted and apologized for it's lack of action during WWII in regards to the Jews)
Anyway, I guess during Fr. Eck's surmon the next week (or at some later date) he denounced this concentration camp survivor as a liar and a fake. Naturally, I was not at this mass, and as such it could be said that I have no right to discuss or repeat what I heard, but I don't particularly care. My source was my mom, whose 1st hand source was Francis Stover, who I generally trust to relay things.
Anyway, this story is a big support of the notion that Fr. Eck is not a pleasant and/or nice man, regardless of convictions. Many bad people had strong convictions. That doesn't always make those convictions right.
I can't remember what I said in regards to the poor columbian children, but I think it was basically: I give poor columbian children Folger's crystals, because there's nothing more horrible than giving a columbian child folger's crystals. It's like giving an Irish person a kansas potato.
Lastly, I strongly oppose boycotting Kristi's site. The only people who post here always seem to agree. When I'm getting online, my chief goal is either to read news, make jokes, or pick a fight. My blog is good for humor. Kristi's is good for thought-provoking discussion/debate.

Just FYI... I neither agree nor disagree with the general disdain for Fr. Eck's ideologies. However, I deleted them from the posts on my site, because I didn't feel the need to have any more people in our diocese thinking he was crazy. And since the account was not first hand... or even really pertinent to my latest blogatorial... I felt the need to erase it.
And for Sara too... I know that you were very hurt when Msgr told you that you were going to hell if you didn't go to religion class. However, this is not one of his shining moments of his priesthood... nor do I think it was a shining moment in your life. For the same reason I removed that comment just for the sake of preserving the man's memory in those minds who don't know a bad mistake he made. And again... it wasn't exactly pertinent to my blog either.
Just thought I'd FYI all of you.
Kay... I cracked up at your use of "sensorable" comments that you posted here. That was fabulous.
